DATES/HOURS:
Prerequisite: You need to have completed either the “Partnering with Poise” or the “Poised for Parkinson’s” workshop curriculum in-person training.
10.5 hours of online training and practice on either three Sundays, or three Mondays
9 hours of Zoom post-training mentorship meetings with instructor after delivering your first complete workshop curriculum online and after instructor has reviewed your shared recordings
Sunday Sessions: June 23 & 30, and July 7 from Noon to 3:30pm EDT
Monday Sessions: June 24, and July 1 & 8 from Noon to 3:30pm EDT

OUR MISSION & GOAL
To train Alexander technique professionals to deliver workshop curriculum of evidence-based Alexander technique group courses for family care partners in a variety of settings, including online.
In 2024, we are running two large-scale projects: one in the Boston/Providence area, and one in the UK. This type of strategic and focused team effort has never been done in our AT global community. You will be part of a ground-breaking project to bring the AT principles to those who can benefit the most. In this way, we are working strategically to remove many of the existing barriers to accessing AT principles across broad socioeconomic groups. We are creating demand for new jobs for Alexander technique teachers in new fields, and then training AT professionals to meet that new demand.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Prerequisite: You need to have completed either the “Partnering with Poise” or the “Poised for Parkinson’s” workshop curriculum in-person training.
10.5 hours of online training and practice
8 hours delivering ONE free group public workshop to practice your curriculum. Teacher records all workshop delivery and then shares recordings with the instructor for feedback mentoring
4 hours of Zoom post-training mentorship meetings with instructor after delivering your first workshop curriculum and after instructor has reviewed your recordings
Suggested purchase of online teaching equipment if not already acquired (flat screen TV & HDMI cable and adapter to laptop, headphones or clip-on microphone, lights)
