 DUMFRIES - FREE FOUR-DAY WORKSHOP!

PARTNERING WITH POISE:
A CARING FOR THE CARE PARTNER WORKSHOP

For family or community Care Partners of people with long term care needs.

A workshop focused on your needs as a carer, independent of your care receiver.

You will learn practical skills that can be easily applied throughout your day that can help you manage the many physical and emotional challenges of caregiving.

This workshop is based on principles from Alexander technique (AT) which is well-known in the performing arts as a way to avoid injury and strain, move with more coordination and grace, and better manage stress and anxiety. The Poise Project, a U.S. nonprofit, has developed and researched this program as a way of bringing this AT training to people who are care partners.

Once learned, you don’t have to set time aside to practice.
Rather these AT-skills can be used in the moment during all your daily activities.
This makes it a valuable tool for all caregivers in particular as you can take care of yourself
in the moment while also taking care of the person you are caring for.

Come join us and you will take new skills home with you that you can apply right away!
