OUR MISSION & GOAL
To train Alexander technique professionals to deliver workshop curriculum of evidence-based Alexander technique group courses for people living with Parkinson's disease and their family care partners. These workshops can be taught in a variety of settings, including online.
In 2024, we are running two large-scale projects: one in the Boston/Providence area, and one in the UK. This type of strategic and focused team effort has never been done in our AT global community. You will be part of a ground-breaking project to bring the AT principles to those who can benefit the most. In this way, we are working strategically to remove many of the existing barriers to accessing AT principles across broad socioeconomic groups. We are creating demand for new jobs for Alexander technique teachers in new fields, and then training AT professionals to meet that new demand. This can be both through in-person course delivery or online via Zoom course delivery.
