PARTNERING WITH POISE:
Care for Black Care Partners of People Living with Cognitive Challenges
Free online course led by Nina Reed of Winterville NC,
a trained peer care partner leader
Are you a Black care partner?
Are you caring for a
spouse, partner, child, grandchild, friend or church member
of someone living with cognitive challenges?
Caring for a person living with cognitive challenges can be physically and emotionally exhausting.
Partnering with Poise is a free 12-week online course that offers Black care partners practical skills to immediately feel refreshed, reduce stress, and prevent physical strain — without adding extra time or tasks to your day.
Led by Nina Reed, a former care partner for her mother and a Poise Project® certified peer-instructor, this class is adapted from Alexander technique, taught for decades in performing arts training programs to help manage stress and prevent injury. Our participants have reported long-lasting benefits, even a year after completing the course.
WHEN: Weekly on Tuesdays from March 25 - June 10, 2025
TIME: 6pm-8pm EDT each day
